Give a non-profit organization (NPO) the chance to win $1,000

1. Sponsor

The Unveil Your Cause Contest (Contest) is sponsored by Followmybid, 125 East Charest Boulevard, Québec, Quebec  G1K 3G5, Canada (Sponsor).

2. To be eligible to enter the Contest, a participant must:

• Be a Facebook user.
• Be a legal resident of the provinces of Quebec or Ontario.
• Be 18 years or older.
• The non-profit organization (NPO) listed in the comments must be located in the provinces of Quebec or Ontario.
• Comply and follow the steps to enter the Contest.

3. Contest period

The Contest starts on October 10, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. (EST), and will end on November 10, 2023, at noon (EST), after which time the Contest will be closed, and no further entries will be accepted.

4. How to enter

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest.

1. Participants must follow the Facebook page @FollowmybidOnlineAuctions.
2. Participants must leave the name of the non-profit organization that is important to them in the comments.

5. Contest prize

The prize is a $1,000 donation that will go directly to the non-profit organization submitted in the comments by a participant. The participant will not receive a cash prize or any physical item. The participant’s role during the Contest is to submit the name of a non-profit organization in the comments to enter the non-profit organization into the Contest.

6. Winner selection

A representative of Followmybid will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received after the Contest end date and select a potential winner. Followmybid will contact the potential winner via Messenger, email, or by phone. The selected participant will be deemed the winner if he/she meets all of the eligibility criteria set out in these Contest rules. If he/she does not meet the eligibility criteria, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive the prize. Another participant will be selected by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries. Followmybid will announce the winning participant and non-profit organization (NPO) on its Facebook page on November 15, 2023.

7. Odds of winning

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

8. Skill-testing question

To be eligible to receive the prize, the selected participant must respond correctly to the Sponsor’s mathematical skill-testing question asked verbally over the phone or sent by email or Messenger without any assistance.

9. Presentation of the prize

The Followmybid team will initiate direct communication with the non-profit organization (NPO) the winning participant recommended. A Followmybid representative will diligently gather the essential information from the non-profit’s financial representative to ensure the seamless transfer of the $1,000 donation to the winning non-profit organization. Followmybid is committed to protecting the non-profit's information and payment information during this transaction.

10. Limitation of liability and social media platform

Followmybid and Meta assume no responsibility or liability for late, illegible, or incomplete entries or any online, computer, mobile devices or phones, or technical malfunctions that may occur that may affect an entry. It is important to know that the Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta. Any questions or comments regarding the Contest must be directed to Followmybid via email at info@followmybid.com and not to Facebook, the social media platform on which the Contest has been advertised and administered.

11. Participant responsibility

Each participant agrees to be bound by the Contest rules by entering the Contest. Participants agree to be bound by Followmybid’s decisions and binding in all respects.

12. Privacy and use of personal information

By entering the Contest, the winning participant:

1. Grants Followmybid the right to use his/her Facebook profile name provided when he/she enters the Contest by submitting the name of a non-profit organization.
2. Grants Followmybid the right to use his/her Facebook profile name for promotional purposes relating to the Contest without further compensation.
3. Grants Followmybid the right to contact him/her by Messenger prior to the official reveal on November 15, 2023, to inform him/her that his/her entry led him/her to win the Contest.

Please note that Followmybid will act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

13. Other conditions

Followmybid reserves the right to terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way without prior notice to participants. If, for any reason, the Contest cannot run as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest and perform a random draw from all previously received eligible submissions received by the Contest end date.
